About the Washi Paper Surface: Washi paper is light-transmitting and is used for lighting, and is thin enough for business cards. The surface of the Washi paper has been specially treated for inkjet printing, allowing for vibrantly colored business cards.
The grain of the wood is clearly visible on the surface of the wood, and is truly "wood" itself. Please note that because it is a natural material, it is not possible to have the same grain pattern throughout the box.

[The history of Tosa Washi]
"Tosa Washi" from Kochi Prefecture is known as one of the three major types of washi paper, along with "Echizen Washi" from Fukui Prefecture and "Mino Washi" from Gifu Prefecture.
Tosa Washi has a history that is said to span a thousand years. During the Sengoku period, "Tosa Seven-Colored Paper," developed in Ino Town's Nariyayama using plant dyeing techniques, was protected as a gift from the Tosa clan to the shogun family, and the name of Tosa Washi became widely known.
In the late Edo period, Genta Yoshii, a native of Ino Town, devoted himself to the development of the paper industry, such as by inventing the large sugeta (rafter) and building the foundation for Tosa as the "Paper Kingdom." Nowadays, Tosa washi paper that is in line with modern culture is being produced one after another.

Founded in 1957, Takaoka Ushi Paper Research Institute Ltd. uses the environmentally friendly natural material "kozo" (paper mulberry) and produces paper using the blessings of the pure Niyodo River, based on the patents and utility model technology established by their predecessors and the traditions of Tosa washi paper.

Washi and wood business cards are made by sandwiching hot melt paper between thinly sliced wood and washi paper to prevent cracking and reduce warping.
Therefore, when cutting to business card size, wood peeling may occur at the edges of the business cards. However, this is outside the printable area of a typical printing machine, so we inspect and ship the cards as genuine products. Please note this in advance.
